Sula-Aquino,
Filipina multimedia artist Marj Sula-Aquino creates ceramic art and paints in watercolor, acrylics, and soft pastels. Her impressionist style features mostly dreamy, atmospheric florals, serene landscapes, and still life that incorporate personal, whimsical objects. An early attraction to abstracts can be discerned in her current works, part of her continuing growth and experimentation as an artist. She is also a metalsmith—working with precious metals, semi-precious stones, glass, vitreous enamel, and found objects to create wearable sculpture through fabrication and lost-wax casting.
Despite no formal training in the arts, Marj has taken her love for creating to the next level through study and honing her skills under the guidance of local and international masters. Since discovering the joys of painting in 2017, she has joined various group exhibitions both here and abroad. She is a member of ARTipolo Group, Philippine Guild of Watercolorists, Self-Representing Artists in Jewelry Design USA, and is the current Vice-President for Internal Affairs of Philippine Pastel Artists, Inc.
