Bautista,

Hailing from Navotas City, Vanessa Bautista began her visual arts journey in 2019 after taking early retirement from one of the country's leading banks. A marketing graduate from Assumption College, she transitioned into the art world and dedicated herself to exploring and expressing her creative vision.

“Art is my way of expressing emotions, ideas and experiences that are difficult to put into words. I find inspiration in the world around me, the people I interact with and my own moments of introspection. Art helps me process complex feelings and connect with deeper aspects of myself.

“Each piece I create teaches me something new—whether it’s a technique, emotion or idea. Sharing my work and seeing others connect with it motivates me to keep going, knowing that art has the power to inspire and impact others.”

Since 2020, Vanessa has actively participated in numerous group shows, showcasing her work at prestigious events such as Art in the Park, Xavier Art Fest, Gateway Art Fair, and the Visayas Art Fair. She has also held two solo exhibitions: one at ArtisteSpace in August 2022 and another at Nami Art Gallery in September 2024. Her pieces are featured in Nami Art Gallery, Daloy Likha Art Gallery, Nine Two Eight Art Gallery, Drybrush Art Gallery, Open Art Gallery, and Vue Art Gallery.
