Contridas,

At work as a full-time banknote and printing supervisor at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, it’s all about the money for Jerry Ybanez Contridas. But away from the confines of the Central Bank, it’s all about expressing his sense of freedom and laying out his inner thoughts on canvas, with oil and acrylic paints as his medium.

Jerry the artist is a passionate abstract impressionist who always finds time to create textured paintings in vibrant colors—for it is both a personal triumph and a fulfillment of his childhood dream of becoming a painter. The evolution of his artistic style is evident in his works, which have been featured in solo and group exhibits, including those with ARTipolo Group, where he is currently vice-president. He is also president of the Central Bank’s BSP Art Club and an active member of his hometown group, Calbayog City Visual Artists (CCVA).

Jerry has secured a solid reputation as an artist with a steady clientele of private collectors who patronize his works. Frequent travels on his trusty motorcycle enrich his experiences and inspire him to add more reserves to his growing portfolio.

Jerry's textured paintings are a passionate expression of his sense of freedom as an abstract impressionist.
