Diwa,
As a self-confessed shy person, Michelle credits painting for paving the way for her to communicate and express her feelings, thoughts, and dreams.
Born in Camarines Norte and a graduate of architecture, Michelle moved to Tuguegarao City after marrying a Cagayanon. Painting became her diversion to de-stress from the daily routine of co-managing the family business. Although she had enjoyed drawing since childhood, it was under the mentorship of Master Artist Pol Mesina Jr. that she honed her artistic skills and deepened her love for the craft.
Michelle's art style can be described as modern realism and impressionism, but she also does abstracts—both depict her personal reflections and emotions.
In October 2024, she was one of the few Filipino artists selected to represent the Philippines at the ASEAN Culture & Arts Creation Season V International Exhibition & Exchange Events held in Xiamen, China. This prestigious opportunity highlights her growing presence in the global art scene.

"Art is very important in a person's life and can be defined by many things depending on one's perspective. It's a way for a person to express themselves better."
Michelle
