Medina,
A native of Taytay, Rizal, Nelson loves to portray the realities of life and the unparalleled beauty of nature in his paintings. His childhood passion for the arts led him to pursue Fine Arts studies at FEATI University.
As an artist, he considers himself a perpetual observer captivated by the natural landscape and the structures and social bonds of labor and everyday life. Typical in his paintings are individuals, objects, and sceneries representing different places, cultures, and traditions. With a realistic approach and a careful study of proportions, life form, and scale, he works with oil or acrylic on canvas, using vibrant tones in works that evoke beauty and hope.
Nelson has participated in many local and international exhibitions showcasing Filipino traditions, culture, and ingenuity. He works as a full-time artist and designer in Dongguan, China. He is a member of the Taytay Artists Community, Art Association of the Philippines, and FilEstilo. In 2017, he joined ARTipolo Group together with his daughter, Jenella Medina.
