Perida,

Living in Taytay and inspired by his friends at the Group Artist of Taytay (GAT), Sonny Perida was an observer and a learner with a keen eye for detail. After taking up Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Advertising at the Far Eastern University, Sonny took up the brush. Deeply inspired by nature and his environment, he rendered realistic figures and nature-inspired works suffused with rich tones in oils and acrylics, lending them a striking appearance.

Professionally, Sonny has engaged with different commercial art forms: from product and label designs to Styrofoam sculptures, in-store visual displays, murals, and folk art for public utility jeepneys. These days, he works as a product art designer in China while devoting most of his free time creating his next masterpiece.

He is currently an active member of ARTipolo Group and the international painting group Fil-Estilo, based in Guangzhou, China.
