For Mathilda Sula Sun, art is a continuing passion that allows her to freely express her innermost thoughts and feelings. Every art piece is a revelation and a discovery of the inner self that is shared with others.

Though actively running her own business, Mathilda takes the time and effort to enhance her artistic skills through designing, teaching, and painting. She has participated in workshops by Artalyer and UPCFA, trained with top artists, and enrolled in local and international online classes.

Her efforts have rewarded her with versatility in painting using different mediums, although acrylics and soft pastels inspire her best. Her subjects are mostly women—whether child, adult, or elderly, their mysteries spark her interest. She has also discovered a passion for pottery, both hand-building and wheel-throwing.

Mathilda is a member of ARTipolo Group, the Philippine Pastel Artists, and the Philippine Guild of Watercolorists.
