Tulay,

"Marie Antonette Tulay graduated with a degree in Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines. She was an overseas Filipino worker in the Middle East for over a decade and is a seasoned world traveler.

Anne, as she is fondly called, or “Tulayan” in the art world, has won first place in notable art competitions—in particular, the 2020 Art Wars and the 1st Yelcast Visual Poetry National Art Competition. Apart from her successful exhibits in 2023, Tulayan also represented the Philippines in the Art of Visual Poetry at the Payakumbuh Poetry Festival in West Sumatra, Indonesia. In 2024, she staged her first solo art exhibit. Aptly titled “Roses and Reverie,” it was held at Café Enrique Gourmet Farm in Tagaytay, Philippines.

Anne’s signature art style can be described as an intricate blend of ethereal realistic and impressionistic paintings of people, nature, flora, and fauna, utilizing both oils and acrylic as her medium. Looking at her soothing art works, one notices how the artist balances spontaneity with control, how the seductive, vibrant colors and layers of paint on her works have been carefully poured, dripped, scribed, and sprayed, the intricacies of the process adding mystery for her viewers."
