Tulay,

"Born with a creative streak, Atty. Roland Tulay avows with appropriate gravitas that he discovered his inclination for the arts at the age of 7 or 8—when he was seriously into stick figures.

These days, Roland showcases his captivating art style through a monochromatic painting technique that utilizes organic media, such as coffee and extract of turmeric. His experimentation with pastels on sandpaper also produces eye-catching artworks, while his subjects, depicted in bold colors, illustrate his passion and zest for life.

For his day job, Atty. Tulay—a University of the Philippines College of Law graduate—is a practicing lawyer and public servant. It is also interesting to know that aside from being a lawyer and artist, he is (not surprisingly) also a musician, sportsman, and adventurer.

Roland had his first solo exhibit, dubbed “Musings,” in December 2022. He organized “Likha Sa Litlitan” in May 2023 for the benefit of the scholars of ARTipolo Group, and “Likha’t Tula” in August 2023, which benefited the Alay Pag-asa Christian Foundation."

Tam's works capture impressions instead of stark realism, because "art should attract and distract.”
